Shaun Hoyte is a scholar-practitioner with expertise in sustainability and clean energy, blending nearly two decades of industry expertise with academic leadership to drive impactful change. His work bridges theory and practice, pioneering transformative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. As Head of Clean Energy Networks at Con Edison, Shaun oversees the development and implementation of innovative strategies aimed at reducing carbon emissions and advancing an equitable clean energy transition.

Shaun holds degrees from Manhattan College and Columbia University. At Columbia, he serves as an adjunct professor, teaching Sustainability in Sports: Theory and Practice and the Integrative Capstone Workshop. Shaun is also the visionary behind the Sustainability, Energy, and Entertainment Network (SEEN) at Columbia’s Climate School. Through SEEN, he leads cross-industry collaborations that harness the power of sports, music, media, and entertainment to drive positive environmental action.
