Carlos Ayala

I currently serve the as Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer for NiSource. NiSource is a utility company that serves nearly four million natural gas and energy customers through our local brands NIPSCO and Columbia Gas.

I joined NiSource from Honeywell, where I served as Global Director, Inclusion & Diversity. I have extensive experience in diversity & inclusion, marketing, retail and consumer management in domestic and international markets in other Fortune 500 organizations.

I hold two bachelor’s degrees in both political science and history from Davis Elkins College. I currently live in Valparaiso, Indiana. In my free time I love to practice yoga, play golf and cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs!
