Sabah Bayatli

Sabah Bayatli has served as the President of OCI Energy (formerly OCI Solar Power) since 2023 and has more than a dozen years of experience working in the energy industry.

Starting his career at OCI Energy as an intern in 2013, Sabah has broadened OCI Energy’s product offerings to include both utility-scale solar facilities and battery energy storage systems (BESS), grown the project pipeline to over 6 GW, and widened the company’s reach with additional clean power developments across the U.S.

Sabah has a wide variety of experience in the energy sector including working in oil and gas in the Middle East and North Africa before moving to Texas to work on a second master’s degree in engineering with a focus on energy from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He received his first master’s degree as well as a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey. Sabah also earned a leadership development certification from Harvard Business School.

In 2023, the San Antonio Business Journal named Sabah one of its 40 Under 40 honorees.
Sabah resides in San Antonio with his wife and their two daughters.
