Guy Payne

Guy joined the PUD in March 2019 as Assistant General Manager of Distribution & Engineering Services. He holds an AB Degree from New Mexico State University and has 25 years of safety, operational, and leadership experience in the electrical utility industry. Most recently he served as Area Manager of Southern New Mexico Operations for Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM), overseeing operational and engineering employees in four service centers that distributed power to six separate towns across southern NM.

As Assistant General Manager of Distribution & Engineering Services, Guy oversees more than 500 employees at the PUD’s Operations Center and five local offices in Lynnwood, Snohomish, Monroe, Arlington and Stanwood. Guy is passionate about safety and leadership, and his main job duties include safety of PUD workers and the community, improving the PUD reliability, and managing capital, operations, and maintenance projects.
