Andy Rector

Andy Rector is the Senior Vice President of Software Engineering for GE Vernova Grid Software based in Austin, Texas. He has worked in the area of industrial mission critical software since 2005 and joined GE in 2012 as part of the acquisition of Austin Digital, Inc. He has extensive experience in mission critical software systems across multiple industries including Aviation and Energy. He has led transformations of global teams and customers from on-premise to hybrid to cloud native solutions at scale. His experience across multiple industries, startup software businesses and scaling products and teams within a large global company provides a unique background from which he draws compelling insights. Andy holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Texas at Austin.
