Andrew Kling

Andrew Kling is the Technical Director of Analytics Services at Sentient Energy, focused on helping utility partners utilize data driven insights to transform their distribution system operations and planning. Prior to his current role Andrew spent 11 years at Duke Energy gaining valuable experience in a wide variety of roles including transmission protection and controls, distribution grid management, emerging technologies, and data analytics. In those roles he had the opportunity to engage in an extensive range of projects including substation automation, microgrid implementations, battery energy storage solution design, and analytics software development. Andrew has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina Charlotte and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of North Carolina.
